Thank you for your interest in No. 9 Images Photography. I started the company after I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2003 and have been fortunate enough to have the business grow into what it is today. Aside from being a photographer and videographer, I am a husband to the most amazing wife possible and father to 4 (yes, I said 4) of the greatest kids imaginable. With a schedule that typically keeps me busy most weekends, my family is extremely understanding and I could not ask for a better support system. Aside from photography, my family and I enjoy traveling and spending time together, whether it be on a hiking trail, near water, or in the back yard.

Weddings

Wedding photography geared toward natural light, photo-journalistic approach, while embracing all the traditional elements that come with wedding photography.  With 6 hours coverage standard for all wedding packages (some packages have additional time or you can always add additional time to your package), No. 9 Images Photography ensures a focus on capturing your wedding moments, and creating lasting memories. My goal is to keep the focus on the bride & groom and create a stress-free day of photos.  In 2018, I added videography options that can be added to your photo package, or booked separately.

Portraits

No. 9 Images Photography takes elements from their photo-journalistic approach to wedding photography and applies them to children, seniors, and family portraiture.  This provides a new and exciting photographic option when it comes to portrait photography.

The main priority is to provide clients with a unique alternative, that embraces and illustrates the personalities of those photographed.   Whether it be at a familiar park or in your own home, No. 9 Images Photography works primarily on location, providing a comfortable, relaxed environment.  This "outside of the studio" style of portraiture does not rely on multiple props; rather, focuses on relating to the subject.  This further enhances the comfort level, which gives individuals more room to be expressive.  Ultimately, this allows subjects to be themselves, resulting in a more natural photograph.

Sports/Corporate

If weddings and portrait photography wasn't enough, I also provide sports photo/video, as well as corporate photo/video for various companies and local youth league and organizations, along with action photos and videography options.  We pride ourselves on competitive package pricing, exemplary customer service and fast turnaround time on prints.

FAQs

  • When are the best times to schedule a consultation?

I’m provided a flexible schedule when it comes to meeting times.  In most cases, appointments can be scheduled anytime Monday - Friday.  Saturdays and Sundays can be tricky due to weddings and engagement sessions, but if available, I am always willing to meet during weekend hours.  Just contact me and we can schedule something.

  • Do you charge an additional fee for multiple locations for photos on the wedding day?

Absolutely not...as long as it is within a reasonable vicinity with your days events.  When I book with a couple, I plan to be with them most of the day.  I always encourage couples to plan other sites to ensure they have multiple backdrops when it comes to their wedding photos.  This might be a favorite park or arboretum...or perhaps even an area downtown.  Photos at the church are a given, so plan for an additional location to give an added dynamic to your wedding photos.

  • I want to book you as our photographer/videographer, what are the next steps?

I have all couples sign a contract and provide a 30% retainer for the date. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the wedding date.

  • Do you allow other guests to take photos?

Absolutely.  This is a major event in the couple's lives and family and friends want to capture the day as well.  I only ask, as a contracted vendor, that I take priority when it comes to getting photos.  After all, you are paying me to take pictures! ;)

  • How many weddings do you typically do a year?

I have been fortunate that my business has steadily grown over the years.  At this point, I typically shoot anywhere between 30 and 45 weddings each year.

  • How long does it typically take before my photos/videos are completed?

In most cases, your gallery will be viewable within 3-4 weeks from the date of the wedding.  While May, June, September & October are the most busy wedding months, I still strive to stay as close as possible to that turn around time. Videos take a bit longer because there is much more editing involved, so at minimum, I try to turn wedding videos around in 4 weeks or so, but during the busy months, it can definitely take longer due to the volume of weddings I have to edit.

  • How many images typically come on a flash drive?

My goal is to provide you with as many proofs as possible. As far as number of images go, with each wedding, you will actually end up with anywhere from 2000-5000+ images after all the edits are complete and a few hundred with any of my portrait sessions. Yes, I know that sounds like a lot, but I feel that you should end up with as many images as possible from your big day or session, so that is why I strive to edit and include as many as I can!

With all my flash drives, I provide you with full resolution images along with a copyright release. Additionally, I provide color, black & white and vintage folders on the flash drive. I always do a standard edit for the color images, which includes cropping, color correction, touchups, etc.

  • Do you offer a second shooter option?

We sure do. For an additional fee, you can add a second shooter for your big day. Just message me with details.

  • Do you offer photography and videography for destination weddings?

Absolutely!  I have shot many weddings outside of Ohio and only charge a small additional fee for travel expenses.
